Gitarren köptes av mig ny i butik 2008. Den har inte lämnat hemmet sedan den bars över tröskeln och den har bara ”sovrumsspelats i strumplästen”.

1998 bytte Fender från 1303 till 0202-modellen. På grund av det nya namnet American Vintage Reissue kallas de ofta för AVRI. Dessa gitarrer har en tjockare hals än de tidigare med en mellan-U-profil och mer korrekt placerade dots på 12 bandet. De har också lite annorlunda färg och Fender bytte till mer vintage-exakta Alnico 3 magneter pickups och en barrel switch tip.

Fram till mitten av 2005 kom gitarrerna med ett certifikat om äkthet (Certificate of Authenticity COA) med produktionsdatum. Efter att Bill Schultz alias ”mannen som räddade Fender” dog 2006 upphörde COA. Enligt märkning på halsen är den tillverkad 2006 och här är förklaringen till att det inte finns något COA till gitarren.
