Post Fender MIJ - Cancelled!
EDIT: äh, inte en käft är intresserad! Un-be-fucking-leavable...

* DiMarzio Chopper T i stallet. Ryter men ändå med Telekänslan i behåll

* US Custom Shop Texas Special i halsen. Speak for itself

* sex sadlars stall numera för bättre intonering

Orkar inte skriva själv just nu, men så här butiken som jag köpte den av i Japan

Here's another great piece from the craftsmen at Fender Japan, a bound alder '62 Telecaster Custom reissue in great condition in a rare Black finish. Not only does it look insanely cool, it plays and sounds great with a few aftermarket alterations that in its current configuration make it a killer choice for blues and rock.

Everybody knows by now that the reissues of classic '50s and '60s Fender guitars made for a time by Fender Japan for export to the United States and Europe were great guitars. They nailed the vibe of the vintage originals and the build quality was of a consistency from one guitar to the next that American Fenders haven't been able to match since Leo ran the shop.

But people who really know these guitars know that the best guitars made by Fender Japan seldom leave the country. They're made for the Japanese market and they're made with a dedication to quality that rivals the best of the US Fender Custom Shop products.

This is one of those, an 8 lb 11 oz '62 Reissue Tele Custom made by Fender Japan for sale to the folks at home. Unlike the '62 Teles made by Fender Japan for EXPORT that we're used to seeing in the US, this guitar has an alder body like Fender's 60's originals instead of the basswood body that was the norm in the MIJ '62 Tele Customs U.S. buyers are used to. Those guitars were brought in to fill a lower price-point niche in Fender's U.S. marketing strategy and less-costly, locally-available body wood was one of the concessions made to make that price-point feasible.

And unlike the Japanese-made pickups found in the '62 Tele Customs usually found outside Japan, this one made for the home market came from the factory with a US Custom Shop Texas Special neck pickup (one of the most useful Tele neck pickups for full-throated voicing). It has an aftermarket DiMarzio Chopper T humbucker in the bridge position, which DiMarzio describes as keeping "the kick of a true single-coil and has more output, mids and low-end. Its patented dual-resonance design captures harmonics and pick attack, and keeps it noise and hum-free. Not exactly the traditional Tele bridge sound, the Chopper T has less twang and more chunk. This makes for a solid blues sound. " Of course, if your taste runs more to traditional Tele tone, drop your fave bridge pickup into this Black Beauty and twang on!

The bridge plate has been replaced with a custom steel plate and the three stock grooved saddles have given way to a six-saddle set-up for enhanced intonation.

The condition of this Tele is excellent with one finish flake on the back at the binding's edge (see back photo) and another flake the same size alongside the jack cup. The slab rosewood neck has the meaty C-profile that players especially love about Fender Japan 60's necks. The frets have some wear, but not to the point of affecting intonation or needing dressing.

Förbehåll: Jag lägger ut ett par MIM ikväll också. En av de tre ska bort, så de som blir kvar kommer jag att dra bort från försäljningen
