Post Groove tubes SEII Speaker emulator - SÅLD

The Groove Tubes SEII Speaker Emulator is the world's first and still favorite direct recording and stage power amp converter direct unit. Converts an amp's power section into a line level preamp signal for recording or live sound production.

Groove Tubes SEII - Speaker Emulator II "Converts" any amp's power section (up to 150 watts) into a "preamp" for direct recording, producing the sound and feel of power-tube distortion without the neighbors hearing. The Groove Tubes Speaker Emulator allows the user to record the sound of a tube (or solid-state) instrument amplifier without having to employ microphones or speakers to capture the all-important sound of the output tubes and transformers. Since being granted a patent for the design of the original Speaker Emulator, the home recording
Enthusiast has been able to record cranked amps without disturbing their neighbors.

Professional users have employed these to eliminate the variables of microphones and microphone placement, speaker quality, cabinet construction, room sound, and leakage to and from other instruments to insure a consistent sound from studio to studio, session to session. Connected to the speaker output of any instrument amplifier, this latest version incorporates a parallel effects loop and mix control to add effects after the sound of the output stage, "wet" and "dry" outputs for split feeds, and a unique speaker return output that allows the user to keep a speaker hooked up to the amp but playing back at either 50% or 25% volume. Touring musicians use this to keep on-stage volumes down while still delivering the "pushed" amp character to the house mixing board. Billy Gibbons and Eddie Van Halen have been recording and touring with our SEII for years.

The Speaker Emulator SEII transforms the output from your tube amp into a line level signal that can be sent direct to your mixer, PA or recording device. The device uses a reactive speaker load which emulates the interactive response between the amp's output stage and a real speaker, an excellent design that is found in the more well-known Palmer speaker simulators. (Apparently, Aspen Pittman, Mr. Groove Tubes himself, sued Palmer for copyright infringement.) In essence, your entire amp, including the tone-critical power tubes and output transformer, can be used as a pre-amp.

This 1U rack device has features aplenty. Rear panel jacks/switches: input (from guitar amp), mono-send/stereo-return parallel effects loop, two speaker-emulated outputs and two mixed outputs (straight signal plus fx). Another nice feature is the "speaker return" jack, which enables you to route the signal back into your guitar amp's speaker with switchable power reduction of 25% and 50%. The front panel knobs: four level knobs (input, output, fx send, fx return) with a sweep of 0-max at 7 and 5 o'clock, respectively, eq in/out switch, and the bass, middle, treble and presence knobs with boost and cut from 12 o'clock neutral. While there are no switches for selecting simulated cab sizes or mic positions, the eq section is very powerful, acting like a mixer eq with active cut/boost, and the frequencies are well-suited for the electric guitar. I find it very flexible and intuitive, with highly musical results except at all but the most extreme settings. The power switch is on the front. The unit does not have to be on, however, to act as a load on your amp's output stage.

Vet inte om det blir 100% wet när man vrider loop mix ratten i botten. Kan kolla det om du vill?

Manualen finns här: http://www.thedinos.se/GT_SE2_manual.pdf
